Jordan Zalis is a PhD Candidate in Ethnomusicology at the Memorial University of Newfoundland whose current work explores space, sound, and sport through the NBA’s Toronto Raptors. He’s also a musician and managing director of Suplex Music. He joins Sounding Off to discuss how he first discovered the relationship between sport and sound, how Canadian identity and nationalism operates within professional sport, and of course, that one rapper from Toronto. You can listen to his work here.
