Yaw Geez is a New York-based rapper, sports producer, and voiceover artist. His ESPN spoken word series “The Journey” combines the poetry of hip hop with the visuality of sport. His work can also be seen across other broadcast and digital platforms such as Yahoo! Sports and Bleacher Report. He joins Sounding Off to talk about his own journey within the music and sports media industries, as well as the diasporic connections he’s made within the world of basketball.
